I hate to harp on the subject of captions but ...
The Image caption alignment (left, centre & right justify) controls do not work correctly. As well as aligning multiple lines of text (which they are supposed to do) they also affect the X position of the text 'box' in the image panel, which causes confusion. Only if 'left justify' is selected will the X position of the text box in the Caption setup window coincide with the X position of the text in the actual Image panel.
For instance, you set up a 2 line caption to be left justified and drag it to the top RHS of the frame. Click 'OK' and the left justified caption appears in the correct position (top RHS) of the image panel. You then decide to make the text centre justified so you re-open the Caption setup window and click 'Alignment - Centre'. Click 'OK' and the text has disappeared off the RHS of the Image panel because the alignment control has also affected the X position of the text 'box'.
Alignment of text in the 'box' and positioning of the text 'box' should be independent.
The Sequence caption (in v5.1) behaves differently to the Image caption, but there is still some interaction between the alignment controls and the X positioning of the text 'box' in the preview panel.
Image caption alignment problem
Re: Image caption alignment problem
Many thanks for your suggestion. I fully agree with you, "Alignment of text in the 'box' and positioning of the text 'box' should be independent."
We'll fix this problem as soon as possible.
