AVI-AVI or MOV-MOV morphs - when?

Subject says it all. Some years ago I asked for this capability - which was a feature of the first morphing programme I ever used - from a company that Sierra bought out I believe and which was never progressed to work with the various later versions of Windows. Is it ever likely to appear? For me, ...

Re: Transparent 32-bit AVI...NOT

An alternative that I have used when having problems with background transparency, is to use a chroma green background and key it out in the editor.

Re: avi layer

Been waiting a long long time for that AVI-AVI (or MOV-MOV) morphing option !! You may recall I asked the question way back during V3 ! V5 is an excellent product, make no mistake. But as a videographer ... to transform, for example, a man walking into a woman walking, or a passing car from o...

Re: Upgrade path from 4.x deluxe?

Thanks - for both answers!

Yes, I guess I missed the previous offer - last year was a bit hectic for me. Thanks for repeating the offer after so much time!

And good to hear a movie-movie morphing program is still on the cards. I look foward to that one!

Upgrade path from 4.x deluxe?

Two questions: 1. Is there an upgrade path from V4,05 deluxe to V5.x deluxe, or does it have to be a totally new full-price purchase? 2. I asked a long time ago whether there was going to be a version that would morph avi file to avi file: I ask again - is it a possibility? I have only just loaded u...

Re: V5 - Still no morph from video to video?

No problem. I beta (and alpha) test video editing programmes, so know just how much 'under wraps' stuff has to be. There is just one thing that occured to me that would be a good feature to have - though implementation may be for a later version now - I'll email you.

Re: V5 - Still no morph from video to video?

Wonderful news! Please keep me posted on progress because I will be there up front ready to buy as soon as its ready! Also good to hear you are bringing in 'automation' for the 'dot positioning' on each frame: should be room for manual adjustment as well of course, but the principle sounds excellent...

V5 - Still no morph from video to video?

Very disappointed to see the spec for the new version 5 - although full of new 'features ( of which the layer option is the most interesting from my viewpoint), there is still no capability to morph from one video clip to another video clip - so a walking male can transform to a walking female for e...

Re: Tip - Removing 'ghosts'

Yep. I wrote that (a few years ago!), and it confused me too reading it back now. And I know what it was supposed to mean! Basically, sometimes you get horrible unwanted 'shadows' and unsightly shapes shooting out from something that is being morphed. Something to do with the way 'triangulation' wor...

Re: No lines, curves or areas????

Ahh, yes ... that was nearly two years ago. Now waiting for a video-video morph to be implemented (my old Morph program could do that ... but that stopped workiong after Win95...)

Tip - Removing 'ghosts'

Sometimes when morphing objects (say) or people even, against a masked or alpha channelled background, ghost images of the second, target picture can appear in the alpha area, towards the end of the morph. This is unsightly of course, and can spoil the effect. As a solution which works 90% of the ti...
